The NTN Bearing Web Based Training is specifically designed for entry level inside sales personnel that work at Authorized NTN Distributors within the United States. The training consists of a series of six, one-hour-long, live web-based seminars. The program includes:

  • Module 1 - Deep Groove Ball Bearings
  • Module 2 - Cylindrical Roller Bearings
  • Module 3 - Tapered Roller Bearings
  • Module 4 - Mounted Units
  • Module 5 - Angular Contact and Precision Bearings
  • Module 6 - Spherical Roller Bearings and Heavy Duty Mounted Units

Each training module includes the following information:

  • Product Description and Explanation
  • Part Numbering and Nomenclature
  • Support Systems - NTN website and DOL
  • Industry Interchanges
  • Catalog Information/review
  • Common Applications
  • Who to call for technical support
  • Q&A

One module is presented each week, allowing an employee to complete the series in only six weeks. A new training series starts on a regular basis, as customer demand requires. Prospective students must register two weeks in advance to allow time to receive their mailed starter packet.

Web-based training utilizes Conference Now and is conducted by NTN's Engineering Department. Here’s how it works:

  • Telephone access and computer with Internet are required.
  • Students dial into a common number to connect via a conference-call-type connection and use their computer web browsers to view the presentation.
  • At the end of each training module, students download a short post-test that will reinforce the concepts presented in that module. The completed exams are submitted via fax or email.
  • Upon completion, the exam is submitted to NTN via fax or email
  • At the end of the series, exams are graded. Each passing student receives a diploma.
