NTN Names Peter M. Eich as President
of NTN Bearing Corporation of America; Richard L. Thomas
to Retire.
Mt. Prospect, IL (March 28, 2006)
– NTN USA and NTN Bearing Corporation of America
(NBCA) announced Friday that Peter M. Eich, 46, has
been named President of NBCA. Pete, who previously served
as Vice President, Industrial OEM Sales replaces Richard
(Rick) L. Thomas, who announced he will be retiring
from the company on March 31, 2006 after 34 years of
service. In addition to his new position at NBCA, he
will serve as a member of the Board of Directors of
NBCA.
Thomas stated, “I am confident in handing off
the leadership to Pete.” Commenting on the transition,
he added: “I have been working with Pete for the
past 3 years and I am very comfortable in his abilities
to move NTN forward to achieve future goals.”
Eich commented, “I am excited about the opportunity
to lead NTN towards continued growth. I am fortunate
to inherit a good business model and a hard working,
very capable staff. Our team has a tremendous advantage
with the quality products that are produced in NTN’s
plants. One of the areas that makes NTN a great company
is that we constantly work to improve quality in everything
we do. It is an exciting time to be a part of NTN’s
team.”
Pete joined NTN as a project engineer in 1982. He advanced
within engineering through positions of increasing responsibility
before assuming the position of Vice President –
Industrial Engineering in 2001. In 2002, he was appointed
to his most recent position as Vice President –
Industrial / OEM / Sales.
Born in Merrillville, Indiana, Pete has a Bachelor
of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue
University in West Lafayette, Indiana. He is a member
of SAE and has also participated in the AEM Organization
for the past 3 years. Pete’s superior knowledge
of the bearing industry along with his nearly 24 years
of NTN experience make him imminently qualified to lead
NBCA. His sterling quality of dedication and expertise
will ensure continued success for many years to come.
